Round 4 of the Fujitsu V8 Supercar series was held at Queensland Raceway. This track is our home track for Howard Racing and I was hoping this would give me an advantage. Also, for the past four years the person who qualified in Pole position took the round win as well so getting in that number one spot was definitely my first priority.

Practice: The track was down on grip from previous test days this year so we struggled with our setup. We made some minor changes throughout the sessions and was sitting in the top 3 for most of the time. Towards the end of the session a lot of the teams put fresh tyres on so I was pushed back in the times. By the end of the session I was back in 11th but it was enough to get me into the top 50% for qualifying.
