For the first time in his career, Dean will join the Australian Carrera Cup Championship, competing in the Pro-Am event at Phillip Island in May.
Shortly after Clipsal, Dean received the call from STMotorsport to join their team for the endurance round of the Porsche Carrera Cup. Dean will be doing double duties at the team, working as a driver coach as well as the co-driver for Scott Taylor in the #222 Porsche.
The opportunity will also reunite Dean with one of his previous engineers & long time friend, Campbell Little, who has been working at STMotorsport to help establish the team.
Despite having never raced in the Carrera Cup Championship, Dean has plenty of hours in the cars, previously working as a driver coach for other competitors as well as driver coaching at private track days in various ex-Cup Cars.
Dean: “I’m excited for the opportunity to be part of the Pro-Am race. I’m looking forward to working with Scott & coaching him ahead of the event. It will also be great to work with Campbell again. We’ve worked together in previous years at a couple of race teams & we’ve always worked well together. “
The Pro-Am event will be held at Phillip Island on May 22nd to 24th.
