Prodrive Australia has, today, announced their enduro pairings for the V8 Supercar Pirtek Enduro Cup for 2015.
For the fourth consecutive year, Dean will join David Reynolds in #55 The Bottle-O Racing FG X Ford. This will mark Dean’s 8th season with Prodrive & his 6th in Car #55.
Dean & Dave have enjoyed success in the past with a win at the Gold Coast 600 in 2013 & a second place at Bathurst in 2012. Dean believes this year is all about making up for lost opportunities in 2014.
Dean: “Dave & I work well together as a team. We always put in a strong challenge and I like the way the car is set up. We both drive the car the same way and have the same setup which is helpful. It’s a familiar pairing. We both use the same seat position and we’re both comfortable with that sort of stuff. Every little bit makes a difference with the category being as competitive as it is. Working with someone that you’ve worked with before makes things a little bit easier and I know Dave doesn’t have to compromise any differently with someone else which is always a plus. Watching from the sidelines it looks like the team has put a strong package together with the new car so I can’t wait to get in it.”
While car #55 has a new engineer this year, with previous engineer Nathaniel Osborne moving to the role of chief engineer, it wont be a new driver/engineer relationship for Dean. Brad Wischusen joined the team at the start of 2015 as Osborne’s replacement. He & Dean previously worked alongside each other at GRM back in 2007.
Dean will get his first chance to experience the FG X Falcon during the two, 60 minute practice sessions on the Friday at the next V8 Supercar round at Winton Raceway.
